Beef and Broccoli Ramen Stir Fry

Ingredients
  

  • 2 packages (3 oz each) instant ramen noodles, seasoning discarded
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced across the grain
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarc h

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch.
  2. Cook ramen noodles in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  4. Sear the beef slices until browned, approximately 2-3 minutes, then remove from the pan.
  5. Heat the remaining oil in the same pan and add broccoli with a splash of water, steaming for 2 minutes.
  6. Add garlic and ginger to the broccoli and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Return the beef and noodles to the pan.
  8. Pour the sauce mixture over the ingredients and toss for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the mixture.
  9. Remove from heat and stir in the toasted sesame oil before serving.
