No Bake Peanut Butter Energy Bites

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup old -fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 cup semi -sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sal t

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, ground flaxseed, and salt.
  2. Add the creamy peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract to the bowl.
  3. Stir the ingredients using a spatula until the mixture is fully incorporated and cohesive.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  5. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow the oats to hydrate and the mixture to firm.
  6. Scoop approximately one tablespoon of the mixture and roll between palms to form 1-inch spherical bites.
  7. Transfer the finished bites to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator or freezer.
